How it works

Every word in the list is compared with your letters. A word is shown when each of its letters is available in your rack. A blank tile (?) can stand in for any one missing letter.

Filters narrow the result: words that start or end with certain letters, words that contain a fragment such as TH, or a length range. Tick 'Use all letters' to see only the anagrams that use every tile.

Questions and answers

Can I use this for Scrabble and Wordfeud?

Yes, it is made for that. Type your rack, use ? for a blank tile and you see the words you can play. One thing to know: the word lists here come from open spelling dictionaries, not from the official Scrabble or Wordfeud lists, so a few words may differ. If a word is on the edge, check it in the game's own dictionary.

How do blank tiles work?

Type ? or * for each blank. A blank can replace any one letter, so two blanks can replace two different missing letters.

What is the difference between an anagram and a word made from my letters?

An anagram uses every letter exactly once. A word made from your letters may use only some of them. Tick 'Use all letters' to see anagrams only.

Are my letters sent anywhere?

No. The word list is downloaded once and the search runs in your browser. What you type is not sent to our server.
